Easy camping booking and advanced booking management for camping owners

Campbook is an “all in one place” user friendly platform for camping in Israel.

an online site for booking that gathers all camping options all over Israel, sorted by smart filters and smart reservations system.

For camping owners Campbook will provide solutions for customer relations, client management and reservations administration.

Problem statement and challenges

Problem

Camping customers - Booking a place at camping sites in Israel requires an investment of a lot of time, a long wait for an answer and the booking methods are often outdated and based on answering the phone.

Camping owners - The reservation management systems available on the market are not suitable for camping sites.

Solution

Camping customers - will be able to search for camping sites in one place and will be exposed to more places by custom search definition.

Camping owners - Campbook's system give them solutions for customer relations, client management and reservations administration.

Challenges

Implementation of Campbook for camping owners who are not technological people and are not used to changes.

Trust in the product - that the camping customers will develop trust in Campbook and book accommodation through it.

User Research

The study was based on qualitative research.

I conducted an interview with the site client and an interview with campsite owners and camping clients.

Recommendations and reviews are the most influential factor in deciding which campsite to go to.
Booking in advance for camping is preferred and relaxing.
Most customers make contact by phone when there is no sufficient information about the camping.

It is important for customers to have a place with several accommodation options and places with an option to rent equipment.
Most customers use several sources of information to find a suitable campsite.
